Kick the dog
Slam the wall
He does this every day
He comes home drunk
Too pissed to speak
The children run away
"Where's your mother?"
They hear him cry
They hide under the bed
He stumbles round
Groan and a curse
The drink makes him see red
They hear her scream
They cower back
Her head just hit the wall
They hear her whimper
They cover their ears
Then hear their father call
"Come here kids
And have a look
At this slut they call your mother"
They creep in quietly
Too scared to look
So instead look at each other
They soon grow up
Free of their dad
Have families of their own
They never told
A single one
Unfortunately it's shown
One's too scared to discipline
Another lives in fear
That her kids
Will have to endure
What she did every year
The third one is
Just like his Dad
Treats people like they're owned
It goes to show
The consequence
Of violence condoned
