True Friendship

I am who I am
It's all I'll ever be
And I'm sorry if that's not
What you want to see.

I say what I am thinking
Hey - you know you do it too!
So why is it not okay for me
But perfectly fine for you?

Why are YOU allowed to cry
To rant and rave and scream
Why am I not allowed to share
And why am I so mean?

For having an opinion-
It's not personal you know.
What do we do what YOU want?
Why can't my feelings show.

I've tried to give a million times
All the help you need.
I've watered over a thousand times
Our 'true friendships' seed.

But it is not what we once thought
Friends forever we are not
Thos good times of yesterday
So easily forgot.

Thank you for a friendship
One you rarely see
But I'm not sorry it is over
If that's the way you're treating me.

I have been hurt enough
Without getting it from you
And it's getting obvious
You've had enough of me too.
